Updates. Backups. Hackers. Speed Tests.

Who has time for all that?

Keeping WordPress up to date and well maintained is one of the things I stress the most with clients and readers. It’s far too easy for things to break or security to get lax when you forget to update plugins or just ignore your website’s needs altogether.

Most clients simply don’t have the time to worry about whether everything is running correctly – that’s where I come in. However, if you want to maintain your own site but don’t know how, I have a great course to show you what to do.

Hiring Shaylee has been a game changer for me. As someone who was always worried about the technology and maintenance side to my site, I immediately felt relieved after starting to work with her! She has been actively optimizing my site to ensure the fastest speed, helps keep all my plug-ins up to date, and is always super helpful with any other tasks or questions I have!!

FAQs

Yes, the terms of service are for 12 months. You may cancel at any time with 30 days notice.

Monthly payments are auto-deducted from your Paypal account each month on the date you enrolled through Paypal. If you prefer to pay for the year you’ll pay upfront (also through Paypal).

Sometimes you might have a question regarding your website, a plugin, a feature, how to do something, etc. I’m happy to assist you in the right direction if you ever are confused or need help.

Currently the hourly rate is $100 and is billed with a minimum of 15 minutes and tracked in 5-minute increments. Any small tasks such as adding new content or features, troubleshooting issues/plugins, or resolving functionalities, etc. will be billed hourly. Larger projects and bigger lists of tasks will be quoted starting at $200.

Yes, there is a $200 onboarding fee for new maintenance clients. This investment covers your initial site review and clean-up. It is required to get your website up to standards for my weekly maintenance. This is a separate invoice from your monthly maintenance and does not cover the first month, only the initial site review. You can waive this fee by paying for the entire year upfront.

To prepare your website for weekly maintenance I need to make sure it’s up to par. I’ll take a look at your web host, PHP version, SSL, and current plugins. I’ll provide my recommendations or make tweaks so your website is running the best it can. This onboarding process usually takes about a week. There is a $200 mandatory onboarding fee for this review. You can read the full review process here.

If your website accepts payments such as an online store, digital sales, memberships or courses then you’ll need the Business plan. Ecommerce and membership sites have more moving parts and tend to require a bit more work which is why there is a specialized plan.

If you’d rather take care of your maintenance yourself I offer a course that outlines the exact tools and techniques I use in my maintenance plans.

Bringing Shaylee on in 2018 was one of the best decisions that I have made. I no longer worry about backing up my site - I feel confident that my work is in good hands. Shaylee tackles my questions and requests with ease. I'm not sure I could have made the switch to WordPress 5.0/Gutenburg without her support and the resources she provided me with. I don't even worry about the health of my website anymore knowing I have her on board.
